The course discusses how theories of international relations are relevant to FPA to understand opportunities and constraints arising from the international system. The course discusses the role of actors and processes, public opinion, individual decision-makers, group dynamics, lobby and interest groups, cognitive theories, and leadership styles by investigating the foreign policies of major, middle, and small powers during and after the Cold War.
