Metaphysics is that study of the basic structure of reality or being. Different topics might be cov-ered under this heading. Some of these are: the nature of personal identity, the nature of free will, the nature of time, the relation between our concepts and reality, the relation between the mind and the body, the relation between particulars and universals, and how we should under-stand modal concepts.
