PHA 325 - Pharmacy Practice & Ethics
This course provides a comprehensive exploration of the ethical landscape in pharmacy practice, introducing students to the diverse roles and responsibilities of pharmacists across various practice settings. This course critically examines the historical evolution of pharmacy as a professional discipline while emphasizing the complex ethical challenges pharmacists encounter across diverse healthcare settings. It also emphasizes the development of professional identity and considers Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in healthcare. Through interactive case studies, reflective discussions, and practical decision-making models, students will develop the skills to navigate ethical dilemmas and develop advanced skills in ethical reasoning and professional judgment.
