This course covers the chemistry and metabolism of biomolecules (proteins, lipids, carbohydrates and DNA) and metabolic pathway to energy utilization. Particular emphasis is placed on the biochemical basis for disease, and targets and therapeutic intervention. Prerequisites: BIO201, CHM205, CHM311, CHM312, CHM313 and CHM314 and Corequisite: Pre-Professional Year 2 status. [4 cr.].
