This course covers descriptive and inferential statistics as they related to design of biomedical and biopharmaceutical investigations. The students are introduces to methods of data summarization and presentation techniques. Different probability distributions are covered including binomial, z, and t. Methods of confidence interval building are addressed. Finally testing hypothesis is covered for different designs, as well as issues related to errors, and power. Corequisite: Pre-Professional Year 1 status. [3 cr.].
