An in-depth individual capstone project involving personal research—and if appropriate an internship in an off-campus setting—under close faculty supervision, culminating in a substantial paper demonstrating scholarly expertise as well as original insights in a significant subject relevant to the curriculum of the English Studies program. Prerequisite: senior standing and consent of instructor.[3-0, 3 cr.].
