This course highlights the major discussions and debates in the area of gender and education. It examines the intersections of gender, race, class, ethnicity, and sexuality and how they shape the schooling process. The course also focuses on the politics of knowledge production and how knowledge is produced, valued, and assessed, and highlights that there are “different ways of knowing”. [3-0, 3 cr.]
