The course will discuss the latest discoveries in the fields of tumor biology and cancer cell signaling, with an emphasis on signaling leading to malignancy and metastasis. The topics presented will help the students understand how cells operate normally and how the controls and checkpoints over cellular processes, such as cell cycle and apoptosis, are lost during oncogenesis and how this leads to cancer.
