This course explores a selected number of advanced topics in biochemistry, with readings taken from the current literature. Emphasis on experimental approaches and problem solving. Topics include protein structure-function, protein folding and modification, proteomics and bioinformatics, enzyme kinetics, membrane structure and the study of biosynthetic processes (pathways and their regulation) with a molecular genetic approach. [3-0, 3 cr. ]
