The topics covered in this course are from measure theory and functional analysis. They include: Measure spaces, measurable functions, integration, convergence of integrals, L^p-spaces, Hilbert spaces (e.g, Riesz representation theorem, orthonormal bases, etc.), Banach spaces (e.g, dual spaces, open mapping theorem, Hahn-Banach theorem, etc.), functions of bounded variation and absolutely continuous functions. [3-0, 3 Cr.]
